CT-CMSA Committees

Committees consist of appointed members and at least one board member. Committees report their activities at board meetings.

Members are Encouraged to Get Involved!

CT-CMSA welcomes your participation on committees. If you are interested in learning more about a committee, please contact a member of the leadership team.

Membership Committee
  • Recruitment and retention of members
  • Cultivate leadership among the chapter members
  • Maximize attendance at chapter meetings
  • Identify members' needs and issues
  • Recruit committee members 
 



Education Committee
  • Identify and help secure potential speakers
  • Accept responses and maintain list of registrants
  • Greet attendees and coordinate registration at meetings
  • Assist leadership team and BOD to determine the educational needs of our members
  • Develop educational programs that meet membership needs
  • Secure continuing education credit approval for our programs 



Conference Committee
  • Identify and assist with securing speakers for annual conference
  • Identify and assist with securing sponsors
  • Assure sponsor satisfaction
  • Assist, as requested, in securing conference locations and set up

Website Committee
  • Collect and verify content for site
  • Work with web master to maintain and update website

Public Policy Committee
  • Represent Chapter and Support National CMSA initiatives
  • Keep Chapter updated on current legal and regulatory issues affecting CM
  • Lobby with CT Legislature for Compact State Law

Nominating Committee
  • Identify members interested in leadership positions
  • Provide information on open positions
  • Confirm that member is willing to run
  • Review qualifications
  • Prepare slate of candidates with the assistance of leadership
  • Tally votes and report results to Leadership (paper ballot)

Scholarship Committee
  • Review nominations for CMOY award
  • Report findings to executive team
  • Review requests for Service Award
  • Report findings to executive team
