2016 February Special
On February 10th we are bringing back our Two for $20.00 – Bring a buddy! for all attendees, (if you bring someone with you). If you come alone, $20.00 for members and non-members alike. SI Bone will be presenting: The Diagnosis and Treatment of the Sacroiliac Joint in Low Back Pain.
The under treatment of pain is a public health problem that has both emotional and physical consequences and is estimated to cost the American public nearly $120 billion per year, which includes not only medical treatment but also the impact on society resulting from sick days and decreased productivity at work. The consequent suffering—physical, spiritual, and emotional—is beyond calculation.
Understanding an illness that impacts approximately 80% of adults at some point in their life is important. Approximately 50 million people experience serious chronic pain lasting six months or more, and another 25 million experience acute pain from injuries and surgeries. According to NIH, it is the most common cause of job-related disability and leading contributor to missed work days. Many of our elderly patients/clients lead a sedentary life style which significantly contributes to this chronic issue.
Have you figured out what it is that affects so many adults, and costs so much? Back Pain. In 1990, a study ranking the most burdensome conditions in the US in terms of mortality or poor health as a result of disease put low back pain in sixth place. In 2010, low back pain jumped to third place with only heart disease and lung disease ranking higher.
Please join us on Wed. February 10th at Il Monticello’s for our TWO FOR TWENTY – BRING A BUDDY! Night as Dr. Mitchell Garden presents the diagnosis and treatment of the sacroiliac joint in low back pain. Be certain to register your buddy at the same time that you register to get the special pricing!
